Cheryl Cole beats Rihanna and Kate Middleton in hair of the year poll ,hair icon of 2011. According tothe new survey report Cheryl Cole has been nominated Hair Icon of 2011 beats the competition from the likes of Rihanna and the Duchess of Cambridge.

In the poll of 5,000 women she has beat the famous actress Kate Winslet and pop star Beyonce, as having the most matching hairs. In spite of Cheryl victory is using hair extensions and she is in controversy in 2009.

In her L'Oreal advertisement, she claimed a new shampoo had recovered her 'weak, limp, lifeless' hair.

Before this year she was also analyzed for her appearance during her short lived stint on the US X Factor  when she arrived at the auditions sporting a voluminous 70s style hairdo. She was also selected of filming and seemed on her 28th birthday in June sporting newly dyed blonde hair.

Cheryl is not the only person who has changed their hair color in 2011. Most of the half part of women decided to color their curls a lighter shade, while 21 per cent chose to turn their hairs darker.
