Mumbai:
Ramesh Sippy’s Sholay, the most popular film in the industry of the
bollywood, is expected to hit theaters again! But this time this film
has been released in all new formats 3D.
The enormous star cast and dialogues of
Sholay have had an excessive impact over audience across all
generations, which is one of the major reasons why the film is coming in
3D.
Producer-director Ketan Mehta’s high
tech effects ‘Maya Digital Studios, has been deliberated the bond of
releasing Sholay in 3D. The senior director at the studio Frank Foster
will lead the project. It is decided that due to technical restraints,
among all the scenes most of the action sequences will be in 3D.
This movie which is over three hours will be the longest movie to be converted into 3D.
Foster has confessed that transforming
this 35 year old movie that is not color corrected from 2D to 3D is a
very thought-provoking task. When movies normally have 2000 shots,
Sholay had about 5000 shots that need to be boosted for better visual
effects.
